New Bali beach club concept Tropicola opening this summer

Bali's Golden Mile of Seminyak Beach is getting a new lifestyle resort concept.

After several years in the making, Tropicola will kick off its first phase with the opening of the Tropicola Beach Club in August 2018.

Tropicola will comprise the beach club, a restaurant, rooftop bar and a hotel.

The 60-room hotel will offer 'fun, affordable and accessible luxury' with rates from $100 a night.

Tropicola is the most ambitious project to date from the group behind Bali's Motel Mexicola and Bucket List on Bondi Beach in Sydney.

Tropicola Beach Club will have three bars over multiple levels, with a flavour of Miami, Acapulco, Palm Springs, Tulum and Playa Del Carmen, the company says.

Following the beach club opening, a 60-seat restaurant helmed by Chef Steve Skelly, and a rooftop bar and event space overlooking the ocean will take shape over the next year.

It is being designed by James Brown, who was responsible for Motel Mexicola.
