Finnair adds Dublin flights for Rugby World Cup in Japan

Finnair is laying on extra flights from Dublin to Helsinki for next year's Rugby World Cup in Japan.

To cope with the extra demand, Finnair has added additional flights departing from the Irish capital on September 19, October 10 and October 17, with one extra return flight from Helsinki to Dublin on October 21.

These are in addition to the daily AY1382 service which departs Dublin at 9.40am and arrives into Helsinki at 2.40pm on an Airbus A320.

The airline said official Irish Rugby travel agents Stein Travel, Club Travel and Killester Travel are all reporting a surge in interest.

Return fares from Dublin to Tokyo via Helsinki start from €775 for Economy Class and from €2,690 in Business Class, including all taxes and charges.

Finnair flies to more destinations in Japan than any other European carrier, with flights from Helsinki to Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo.
