Canadian carrier Air Transat to work with TMCs for first time

Air Transat has started working with travel management companies for the first time, making special business fares available on flights between the UK and Canada and on connecting flights within Canada.

The airline, best known for its holiday flights, offers Club Class on all its international services, including on its daily flight from Gatwick to Toronto, and it offers business class fares from £952 return.

The airline has started offering the fares to TMCs, and has entered into its first trade partnership with Amber Road.

Commercial director UK and Ireland Adrian Keating said: "Air Transat's wide range of frequent services, and choice of cabins and products, make us the ideal airline for cost-conscious business travellers looking to fly from the UK to Canada.

"We are delighted that our first partnership with the business travel community is with Amber Road, which has a proven track record in delivering business travel for SMEs.

"Initial interest from TMCs has been strong, and we are confident of agreeing other partnerships in the weeks ahead."

Amber Road CEO Clive Wratten said: "We are continually looking to develop new partnerships that deliver value for our clients, and we are sure Air Transat's new business travel fares from Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow will prove popular with our corporate clients across the UK.

"We look forward to working closely with them to deliver cost-effective business travel from the UK to Canada."
