Travelopia appoints new head of trade partnerships

Travelopia has appointed former Attraction World and Monarch Travel Group head of sales Simon Garrido as head of trade partnerships.

He joined the portfolio of tailormade brands, Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia, Sovereign Luxury Travel and Austravel, on April 1.

Having started his career at Airtours, he has also previously worked for Avis Europe.

At Travelopia, his responsibilities will include aligning all the separate brands under one unified operating model, said the company.

Brand and commercial director Helen Adamson added: "We are delighted to welcome Simon, a trusted and experienced industry professional, to the position of head of trade partnerships for our tailor made brands.

"Whilst we already hold a trusted and valued relationship with the trade, Simon joins us at an exciting time for Travelopia as we look to further enhance this relationship and develop new trade connections.

"This appointment underlines our commitment to the trade and our aspirations to work more closely with agents and existing partners to help develop our amazing worldwide multi centre holidays."

Garrido added: "It's great to be joining the Travelopia business and working with some of the most well-known and respected brands in the business. I'm looking forward to working with the team and most importantly with our trade partners to promote the incredible range of brands and products we offer."
