Short breaks will be the focus of first TTNG 'How To' event

The Travel Network Group has confirmed its first 'How To' event will focus on the UK short breaks market.

Being held in Birmingham on April 30, the event is being be supported by Hoseasons, Premier Holidays, Shearings and Super Break.

The 'How To' initiative was launched at the consortium's 'Beyond the Expected' Conference in Budapest.

Vim Vithaldas, newly appointed chief operating officer, says the events will help members get closer to certain sectors and become more informed and familiar at selling these services to their customers.

"British consumers on average take 3 to 4 holidays a year, with 26% of people in the UK taking a UK short break only, and 40% taking a UK short break and another holiday overseas.

"We believe there is more opportunity for agents to leverage a greater share of the market, and this event is intended to help them improve their knowledge of the sector and ultimately drive further sales."

The Travel Network Group is planning to host more of these events throughout 2019, covering ancillaries, touring, luxury holidays, and peaks.

Members can register for the event at: [email protected]
