London's iconic Trocadero transformed into a-mazing new attraction

The award-winning Crystal Maze LIVE Experience has moved from Islington in north London to the West End where it has found a new, much larger home in the iconic Trocadero, which has undergone a £5 million transformation.

Contestants will find 32 brand new games in four distinct zones, Aztec, Medieval, Future and Industrial, where they compete for crystals and the chance to catch golden tickets in the Crystal Maze for a place on the leader board.

The attraction, which is based on the popular 1990s TV show of the same name, originally launched in Islington in 2016. After the success of its second, much larger site in Manchester's Granada Studios, which opened in 2017, it decided to look for larger premises in the capital.

Tom Lionetti-Maguire, co-founder and director of operating company Little Lion Entertainment, said: "We are delighted to have moved the maze to an iconic building like the Trocadero. We are bringing theatre to life in this new flagship immersive playhouse and interactive events attraction.

"From a regeneration perspective, we've created close to 200 jobs in the area and 75% of the games and set budget has been spent on small creative firms based in London, alongside specialist independent businesses throughout the UK, to help make this dream a reality."

The new venue is able to host triple the number of players than the former venue in Islington and boasts a new bar overlooking Shaftesbury Avenue.

All visits must be booked in advance at
