Oyo rolls out CSR assistance programme

Oyo Hotels & Homes has launched its CSR assistance programme offering technical and financial assistance to OYO partner hotels across India.

It rolled out in Shimla with a project equipping hotels with rainwater harvesting systems.

The Oyo REACH initiative will focus on skill development, economic opportunities and sustainable tourism.

"Shimla has been grappling with water scarcity concerns for the past few years and we would like to contribute towards alleviating them. As part of our CSR program, OYO REACH, we are happy to assist in the adoption of rainwater harvesting systems," said Aditya Ghosh, CEO, India & South Asia.

"Since tourism has been one of the most important contributors in boosting the state's economy, such techniques will not only help Shimla regain its stature as the most preferred hill station, but also promote sustainable tourism practices."

The company says more than 80% of Oyo partner hotels in Shimla have been equipped with the water saving systems.
