Simpson Travel has promoted Kathryn Coles to the newly-created role of head of sales, with effect from November 1.
Formely working for Tauck, Kirker Holidays and Club Med, Coles joined Simpson Travel in January as the specialist operator looked to work more closely with travel agents.
Since then she has created the concept of the 'Simpson Family' for partner agents.
Selected agents who are part of the 'family' receive performance enhanced commission and additional incremental benefits, plus the chance to personally experience the Simpson Travel product with family and friends.
"We are delighted to promote Kathryn to this new role and welcome her to the senior management team at Simpson Travel," said managing director Graham Horner.
"Since joining the company in January, she has worked tirelessly to strengthen our ties with the trade and this pivotal new role will see her maximising these opportunities with agents as well as driving online bookings and developing new call centre technology to streamline the sales process".
Simpson's next 'open house event' will be on November 6 when a selection of agents will be invited to visit the its offices in west London to see behind the scenes, meet the owner, Graham Simpson, and talk to the product and sales teams.
