Aman names new global sales chief

Luxury resort group Aman has announced the appointment of Greg Ward as new head of global sales & distribution.

Ward joins Aman after five years at Hong Kong based Shangri-La Group where he was vice president of sales.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality, retail and private aviation.

Ward is responsible for all sales activities across the portfolio and managing the global sales team of Aman representatives both on and off property.

He will work closely with chief operating officer Roland Fasel to help position Aman's future vision and strategy.

"I am looking forward to steering our approach to global sales as the brand continues to gently evolve in new locations and markets," Ward said.

Ward also held sales and marketing positions at Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

The Aman portfolio now consists of 32 properties including the newly opened Aman Kyoto, and launches Aman New York next year.
