Fred Olsen's Braemar to return to Corinth Canal for third time

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has confirmed its 929-passenger ship, Braemarwill return to the Corinth Canal in September 2022 for a third time.

Braemar made history last month by becoming the largest ship - at just under 186 metres long - to sail the 6.4-kilometre canal, which is only 24 metres wide at its narrowest point.

Fred. Olsen has revealed the third Corinth Canal sailing in autumn 2022 as the first preview itinerary from its forthcoming 2021/22 cruise programme, which will not be released in its entirety until March 2020.

Marketing and sales director Jackie Martin said: "In October, Braemar made history by becoming the largest ship to sail the Corinth Canal. The rock faces were so close that guests could almost touch them."

Braemar will operate a 26-night Corinth Canal and Greek Islands cruise, leaving Southampton on September 23 2022, with prices from £4,199pp.

There is still some availability on Braemar's second sailing of the Corinth Canal in spring 2021, on a 25-night Greek Islands & Corinth Canal cruise from Southampton on April 16 2021.
