Flight Centre bolsters tech platform with stake in TPConnects

Flight Centre Travel Group has been on the acquisition trail again.

It has snapped up a minority stake in Dubai based TPConnects Technologies.

TPConnects offers an IATA NDC platform, which aggregates NDC and GDS fare content.

The platform also includes the ONE Order technology.

FCTG is taking a 22.47%  stake for an undisclosed sum.

"This investment ensures we are at the forefront of developments in an exciting new era of distribution and connectivity," said Greg Parker, executive general manager of Flight Centre's global air distribution.

"The TPConnects SaaS platform enables agencies to intelligently control content sources across all major GDS providers, as well as directly connected NDC APIs."

TPConnects was established in 2012 and is one of the first NDC and ONE Order focused travel tech companies.

Founder Rajendran Vellapalath will continue running the business.
