Rethinking the elevator ride in an era of social distancing

Social distancing in an elevator? That's a tall order. The elevator ride is already an awkward experience and now 'new normal' protocols have got companies grappling with how to ensure safety in such a confined space.

As workers return to the office, building managers are looking at stringent limits on riders and designated standing spots, as well as touchless elevators.  Other alternatives? Staggering work hours to avoid the crush or simply get some exercise and take the stairs.
