Vietnam based Pacific Airlines partners with Sabre

Sabre Corp has sealed a new strategic agreement with Vietnam based Pacific Airlines.

Pacific Airlines will use the Sabre Passenger Service System (PSS) as it integrates more with parent Vietnam Airlines.

The agreement will allow the carrier, formerly known as Jetstar Pacific, to merge into a single, passenger platform alongside Vietnam Airlines.

Vietnam Airlines recently agreed to acquire Qantas Group's 30% stake in Pacific Airlines.

Vietnam Airlines has been a customer of Sabre's PSS for many years.

Vietnam Airlines is also planning to expand its use of Sabre technology by adopting the Sabre AirVision planning and scheduling platform to complement the Sabre PSS platform.

The Sabre PSS helps to automate sales and reservations while maximising revenue opportunities.

"While everyone in the travel industry is experiencing an unprecedented situation, we are very much focused on moving forward with our PSS transformation program to place us in the best position for recovery, growth and future expansion," said Pacific Airlines chairman Trinh Hong Quang.
