100 nudists test positive for Covid at French resort

Almost 100 people at a French nudist resort have tested positive to Covid-19 in what French health authorities describe as a 'very worrying' outbreak.

At least 95 at the resort of Cap d'Agde, 30 miles south of Montpellier in the south of the country, have tested positive for the virus so far and more results are due this week, French media reports.

Around 50 others reported falling ill after returning home from the resort.

Guests have been warned they must comply with social distancing rules, including wearing face masks, which are compulsory in all indoor spaces in France.

According to the Daily Mail, which says the resort is popular with swingers, medics carried out 194 tests on visitors last week, with 38 coming back positive.

Another 244 tests were carried out on Wednesday, with 57 positive.

Health officers carried out 310 additional tests on Friday, with results expected early this week.
