Pandemic puts brakes on future travel plans

Over a third of British holidaymakers say they're less likely to fly by plane in future due to the impact of the pandemic.

A new survey reveals that more than four in 10 have suffered a cancelled holiday and 27% have cancelled a flight as a result of Covid-19.

Nearly half have postponed booking a holiday this year following the chaos caused by the pandemic.

The survey by data and insights platform Dynata found that a third of Britons are planning a UK holiday in the future.

Other Europeans are also planning to holiday at home with 39% of Italian, 38% of Spaniards, 36% of Germans and just over a quarter of French saying they are less likely to travel abroad in future.
