Princess Cruises has expedited the transfer of two ships to sister brand P&O Cruises Australia.
Golden Princess and Star Princess have now joined P&O earlier than expected and will enter service for P&O in 2021.
The transfer was announced two years ago and has now been completed ahead of time.
They will be renamed to Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter respectively.
"We know their legacy will continue under sister brand P&O Cruises Australia, which has become so well-known for delivering unforgettable cruise holidays for Aussies and Kiwis," said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises President.
The two ships were initially due to transfer in late 2021.
Golden Princess entered the Princess Cruises fleet in 2001 and Star Princess followed a year later.
Star Princess was scheduled to continue sailing in 2021, and guests booked on cruises will be notified by the company with rebooking options.
