Booking.com has responded to growing demand to 'work from anywhere' by introducing a new designation for alternative accommodations in India.
It is rolling out a new Work-Friendly badge for homes and apartments, offering more visibility of their work-friendly amenities.
It is aimed at both business travellers and leisure travellers who want to work remotely.
"As business travel continues to evolve, Booking.com is working to bring business and leisure travellers looking to work from the road the information they need to easily find the right home or apartment for their trip, wherever their travels take them," said Ritu Mehrotra, Booking.com Country Manager, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
"We want to help travellers identify what home properties meet their business requirements as well as help our accommodation partners maximise their occupancy."
To get the badge properties have to meet various criteria.
This includes excellent reviews and a cleanliness score of 8 or higher.
Amenities must include free wi-fi, a dedicated workspace and TV, and should be able to provide an invoice to business travellers.
