Regent Seven Seas' record bookings

Luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas took the most bookings in a single day in its 28-year history when sales opened for its 2022-23 Voyage Collection on 21 October.

It said sales were almost 40% higher than its previous bookings record, set in April 2018 with the launch of Seven Seas Splendor's (above) inaugural season.

While all destinations experienced high levels of interest, cruises in Africa, Asia, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe - the Baltics in particular - were notably popular, it said.

Bookings were double those taken during the launch of the Voyage Collection last August, which Regent said proved there was pent up demand.

"The staggering response to our 2022-2023 Voyage Collection demonstrates the incredible future demand for the unrivalled Regent experience," said President and CEO Jason Montague.

"Our loyal guests wasted no time in securing their perfect itinerary and suite with last year's Voyage Collection launch day total eclipsed after only 90 minutes of being on sale."

Graham Sadler, Senior VP and MD, added "This phenomenal achievement is a testament to the professionalism and tenacity of our talented UK travel partners and we would like to thank them for their support, without which the hugely successful launch of our 2022-2023 Voyage Collection would not have been possible."

The record bookings day follows Regent's recent record-breaking launch day for its 2023 World Cruise, when reservations were double that of the 2022 World Cruise launch.
