Horncastle Executive Travel ceases trading

Horncastle Executive Travel Ltd has ceased trading with effect from 11 November 2020, according to ABTA.

The majority of bookings arranged by Horncastle Executive Travel were for business travel. The company also sold some ATOL flight-inclusive packages, scheduled airline tickets under its IATA licence and retail bookings.

The travel agency had branches in Edinburgh and Norwich, while its head office is in Newcastle upon Tyne.

As well as offering business and corporate travel services for more than 40 years, the travel agency provided maritime travel and managing ships' crew travel services.

Horncastle Marine originated from the travel department of the Common Brothers' Shipping Company, founded in Sunderland in 1893.

ABTA said if customers booked a flight-only ticket with Horncastle Executive Travel Ltd and were issued with a ticket or e-ticket, they will need to contact the airline to ensure their booking will go ahead.

ABTA is advising corporate clients of Horncastle Executive Travel to contact the airline directly to check if their bookings are still available. Further information and advice is available from the claims team. Customers requiring further assistance can contact 020 3758 8730 or email [email protected]
