How a Covid-19 vaccine could benefit the travel industry

Travel companies' beleaguered stock prices received a welcome boost and bookings have been ticking up on the news that a Covid vaccine is showing promise of being more than 90% effective. There is cautious optimism even though it is still be several months away at least.

There is no doubt Covid will change travel in many fundamental ways, but some of these are positive ones. It's a more risk-averse market now, meaning  booking flexibility is here to stay, and there is a much greater awareness about viruses and travelers' own attitudes towards health.
