More Carnival brands extend cancellations

Holland America Line and Seabourn have announced more cancellations for 2021.

HAL has cancelled all itineraries from 1 January to 31 March 2021, while longer voyages in Asia, Australia/New Zealand and South America have been cancelled through to mid-April 2021 and cruises of eight days or longer that call in the US won't resume until 1 November 2021.

Guests booked on longer voyages to South America aboard Westerdam, Asia aboard Noordam and Australia/New Zealand aboard Oosterdam will be rebooked to similar dates and itineraries in 2022. Those booked on the Voyage of the Vikings cruise, scheduled to depart July 9, 2021, aboard Zaandam, will move to a similar date in 2022.

Meanwhile, Seabourn has said it will cancel a series of 2021 voyages for two ships in its fleet as part of a broader redeployment in preparation for an eventual return to service.

The company said the cancellations come 'while the brand works to implement its plan to resume guest operations, which includes meeting the requirements of the Framework for Resuming Cruise Ship Operations order issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for sailings with US port calls'.

Select voyages on Seabourn Odyssey have been cancelled from 16 January to 5 November 2021. Seven-day Alaska/British Columbia and the Pacific Coast sailings have not been cancelled.

Seabourn Quest sailings on voyages longer than seven days and calling on a US port cancelled from 22 July to 6 November 2021.

Seabourn President Josh Leibowitz said: Stay tuned for releases of alternative voyage options in the months ahead as conditions permit."

Guests and agents are being notified of the cancellations and options for Future Cruise Credits, which are valid from the date of issue, or rebooking.
