MSC Grandiosa sets sail from Genoa

MSC Grandiosa departed from the Italian port of Genoa on Sunday evening, resuming seven-night cruises in the Mediterranean after a short pause in operations over Christmas.

The Italian operator was the first major cruise line in the world to resume sailing last August, but its cruises were suspended over Christmas due to local travel restrictions in Italy.

The cruises aren't available to UK passengers, who are banned from all non-essential travel, but MSC has started taking booking for its 2022 ex-Southampton cruises.

The company's flagship will resume her planned weekly cruises leaving every Sunday from Genoa and calling on the other Italian ports of Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo as well as Valetta in Malta.
