Stelios cuts EasyJet shareholding again

EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou and family have cut their shareholding, in the airline to 26.7%. According to stock market papers, Stelios' Polys Holdings Ltd reduced their stake from 27.73%. The current shareholding is still worth more than £1 billion based on its share price.

Stelios has been gradually reducing his stake since the early days of the pandemic after heated and very public disagreements with the easyJet board over a multi-billion pound Airbus deal. He had tried in vain to oust a number of easyJet directors.
