A new £25 million stimulus package for Scottish tourism has been announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. Developed by the Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group (STERG) in partnership with businesses, it comprises a holiday voucher scheme, incentives to take days out and a marketing fund to promote destinations when domestic travel is permitted again.
The First Minister says the short-term recovery funding will help support the industry for the next six months to two years as the industry takes steps to return to normality.
It will help tourism and hospitality businesses 'get firmly back on their feet.'
