Virgin Voyages gives up on summer launch for Scarlet Lady

Virgin Voyages has once again extended suspensions on US operations, conceding it won't be able to launch this summer.

It extended cancellations from 4 July through 17 September 2021, which further extends its long awaited launch of first ship Scarlet Lady.

The new suspension dashes any hopes of a summer cruise out of Miami, Florida this summer.

"As we continue to navigate what's going on in the world, we've made the decision to cancel our sailings through 17 September on Scarlet Lady," it said.

Guests impacted for the first time will receive a 200% Future Voyage Credit on the amount paid, or a full refund will be processed as well as receiving a 24% Future Voyage Credit.

For guests already affected by previous cancellations, they will have their Full Future Cruise Credit restored which can be used once again on a future sailing.
