Seaplane flights to launch in Greece

New aviation operator Grecian Air Seaplanes will start flying seaplane services from the mainland and between Greek islands from September.

It starts with a fleet of three 19-seater seaplanes offering flights from the Ionian Sea and plans to expand its routes over time to the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, Crete, the Northeastern Aegean, the Sporades Islands and the Saronic Gulf.

"We connect Greece and develop a new tourism product for the country," said Dimitris Babakos of investor Axonair. It plans to offer scheduled and chartered flights, medical flights and tours.
