Thomas Cook teams up with Visit Florida for UK campaign

Thomas Cook has signed its first partnership deal with Florida's official tourism organisation, Visit Florida.

Thomas Cook,, which was relaunched in September 2019 as an online-only business, has been selling holidays to the US and Florida since December.

The partnership with Visit Florida is its first since adding long-haul flying.

The collaboration showcases the Sunshine State's lesser-known regions to the UK market, including Tampa Bay, Crystal River and Fort Myers, each of which has its own distinct character and attractions focused on nature and the outdoors.

The campaign will include digital advertising, email marketing, content production, video content and travel guides to the state.

Phil Gardner, Thomas Cook's Chief Commercial Officer, said: "We know our customers are desperate to get back to Florida. Our partnership with Visit Florida will help us to promote the parts of the state that are less well-known and hopefully entice our customers to spread their wings beyond Orlando and Miami."

Thomas Cook launched in September 2020 following Fosun Tourism Group's acquisition of the Thomas Cook brand and associated digital assets.

The new business offers thousands of hotels and flying from all major UK airports

Dana Young, President & CEO, Visit Florida said: "Visit Florida is excited to be working with the new team at Thomas Cook to develop a marketing approach that will showcase Florida's great outdoor experiences."

"The Sunshine State offers the wide open spaces and adventure that Brits will want to discover when travel resumes."
