Regent Seven Seas return to service kicks off with UK cruise

Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced its return to service with a UK cruise on Seven Seas Splendor beginning in September 2021.

It marks not only the cruise line's return to service but also Seven Seas Splendor's inaugural season.

The ship only completed two cruises before the pandemic brought cruising to a standstill.

"Come September we will have the double celebration of our return to the seas as we also recommence the inaugural season of Seven Seas Splendor," said Jason Montague, President and CEO, Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

The cruise line intends to preserve originally planned itineraries, as much as the global health environment at the time allows.

The first cruise in her inaugural season sees Seven Seas Splendor set sail on 11 September 2021 for an 11-night voyage, round-trip from Southampton visiting Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.

After her initial voyage, the ship will transition to the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to sail in the Caribbean.

To ensure a smooth and safe resumption of operations, the remainder of the Regent fleet's return to sailing will be announced at future dates, with voyage suspensions now extended through 30 September 2021 for Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator, and Seven Seas Voyager.

The line is deploying the SailSAFE health and safety programme that creates multiple layers of protection against Covid-19.

It was developed with guidance from a team of public health and scientific experts including the SailSAFE Global Health and Wellness Council.

As part of the programme, all guests and crew are required to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to departure.
