Jamaica lifts UK travel ban

Jamaica has now reopened borders to UK based travellers after banning flights for several months. The ban was imposed under Jamaica's Disaster Risk Management Act in December 2020, due to the discovery of the fast-spreading UK variant.

Several other countries also imposed similar travel bans.  The ban was lifted due to the fact 'close to 50% of UK residents have received their second dose of vaccinations,' said Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett.
