Royal Caribbean reverses course on vaccinations

Royal Caribbean has backtracked on its policy of only accepting fully vaccinated passengers.

Now all guests will be allowed aboard with a negative Covid test.

It still recommends all people to get the Covid jab but will not make it compulsory.

All crew members must be vaccinated.

It is a direct reversal of its previous announced policy amid a new law in Florida stating any companies asking for proof of vaccination are subject to fines.

"Vaccines are not required for passengers, but all ship crew members will be vaccinated. Guests who are unvaccinated will be required to undergo testing and follow other protocols," it said.

"Guests are strongly recommended to set sail fully vaccinated, if they are eligible,"
