Morocco gears up to reopen to international visitors

International flights to Morocco will resume next week, opening up the country for holidays from several key tourism source markets

Access is  granted for residents of the European Union (except Lithuania), the UK, USA, Canada, Russia, China and any UN member country that is not on the B list of the Moroccan Ministry of Health.

A vaccination certificate and/or a negative PCR test is required.

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) says it is keen to get on the UK's green travel list based on its low Covid rates and a successful vaccination programme with over nine million having received at least one jab out of a target population of 25 million.

Currently, Morocco has just 2,500 active cases.

Jamal Kilito, MNTO Director for UK & Ireland, said: "As we emerge from the pandemic, we are looking forward to welcoming travellers to Morocco. With secure health and safety measures in place, we are confident that we can rebuild our tourism industry."
