Qatar Airways appoints Scotland sales chief

Qatar Airways has appointed aviation industry veteran, Denise Holmes as Key Account Manager for Scotland.

She will be responsible for all commercial activities in Scotland, while driving sales and building strong commercial relationships across the nation.

She brings decades of experience to this new position, after spending almost 20 years with Thomas Cook in Scotland managing of one of their flagship stores.

She then served as regional manager for Emirates for 15 years, and spearheaded the airline's launch of Abu Dhabi services to Glasgow, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Most recently, she ran her own consultancy business.

 "I am delighted to be joining Qatar Airways, as we continue to rebuild the sector. I am excited to bring my experience in successfully building relationships with both corporate and leisure businesses as the airline grows its footprint in Scotland and beyond," Holmes said.
