Man jailed for six months after air rage attack

A British traveller has been jailed for six months after a case of “air rage” in which he verbally and physically abused flight staff. According to a report in The Scotsman newspaper, 58-year-old hairdresser Paul Kelly “swore and pushed” purser Julie Gray on a Thomas Cook flight from Newcastle to Ibiza last September, and had to be restrained by staff and fellow passengers when the flight arrived at the Mediterranean island. The newspaper goes on to report that, at one point, the travellers “yanked back” the purser’s fingers as she tried to confiscate a Lucozade bottle that had been filled with brandy, and that later in the flight he “clawed at her hair and ears before pushing her to the ground”. The court reportedly heard that the passenger had not flown for some 17 years and had been drinking before departure.

Thanks for that ... though, of course after six months inside, he may have to be retrained after all ...

  • Retrained

Quote "and had to be *retrained* by staff and fellow passengers when the flight arrived at the Mediterranean island" *Retrained* how? House trained? Different profession - perhaps given the Lucozade he could be an athlete.
