Gen Z holiday preferences survey – Jet2holidays

Thursday, Feb 02, 2023 0

One in ten (11%) of 18- to 25-year-olds surveyed in September 2022 said they would choose nightlife over a massage, as one in three (34%) would declare a massage is more essential during their travels.

Younger persons are interested in yoga classes or rooftop cocktails. The importance of people feeling good physically and the spirit for keeping in shape also come in their top priorities for the holiday season.

A spokesman for holiday operator VIBE by Jet2holidays, which commissioned the research, said: “The study suggests young adults want to let their hair down, but also chill out.

“It’s not all parties all the time for younger holidaymakers, and they are just as interested in recharging their batteries as anything else.

“This is shown by things like yoga classes, meditation, and access to gyms being important for the often fitness-conscious younger generations.”

The studies found that nearly a quarter (21%) of respondents want nothing more than to play beach ball while travelling in their HTS. Meanwhile, about one in five just want to read their book during the travel.

More than one in ten people (12.3%) are keen snorkelers. Only a total of 11% consider hitting world-renowned nightclubs as a priority while away.

The Canary Islands are the top three holiday destinations in the world, according to the latest research by a consumer opinion research company.

And interestingly, one in six examples favoured Ibiza as an ideal destination.
