Holland America Line to feature in new eight-part TV series

Holland America Line will take centre stage in a new eight-part TV series, airing on Channel 4 this summer.

The series, which has a working title of ‘Secrets of Supercruisers’, will document the experience onboard Holland America Line’s Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam ships across three voyages, sailing the Panama Canal, Caribbean, South America, Canary Islands and North Africa, including Holland America’s first season from Dover in a decade.

The series, produced by Crackit TV, will share a behind the scenes look at life onboard, demonstrating what it takes to operate a cruise ship around the clock.

Each hour-long episode will feature various ports of call to showcase the shore experiences on offer, including rum tasting in the Dominican Republic; horse riding on RelaxAway Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island in the Bahamas; and a sustainable agriculture tour and wicker basket toboggan rides in Madeira.
