ONYX Hospitality Group Relaunches the OZO Brand with Local Collaborations: Guests are invited to “Unpack.Good.Vibes.”
ONYX Hospitality Group, Thailand’s leading hotel management company, announces the exciting re-launch and refresh of its OZO brand on 18th June, inviting travellers to “Unpack.Good.Vibes”. OZO offers a fun, vibrant, and energetic hotel and resort experience, currently available in Thailand and Malaysia.
OZO caters to a diverse clientele – couples, families, friends, and even business travellers. The upper midscale brand with a playful twist offers a haven for those seeking relaxed exploration and good vibes. Entering an OZO hotel is like stepping into an upbeat sanctuary – a refreshing oasis after a busy day of exploring or connecting. Functional design, practical layouts, and sleep-inducing comfort create a space to reconnect, play, and recharge.
With locations in Thailand and Malaysia, OZO is expanding its footprint with the upcoming launch of OZO Medini Johor in Malaysia. OZO properties are strategically situated for optimal exploration and cultural immersion. In Thailand, OZO Chaweng Samui offers both the energy of the town and the tranquility of Chaweng’s soft white sands, while OZO Phuket is just a 5-minute walk from vibrant Kata Beach and the popular night market. OZO North Pattaya is centrally located with a lively atmosphere and modern comforts, whilst in Malaysia, OZO Georgetown Penang is nestled in the heart of Penang’s UNESCO World Heritage City, an ideal base for adventures, and OZO Medini Johor, opening in September 2024, is situated in the cultural capital of Malaysia’s southernmost city.
Unpacking Good Vibes for Everyone:
OZO understands that “good vibes” are personal. They might involve poolside relaxation with a book, a lively beach party, or anything in between. OZO caters to individual preferences, ensuring everyone can unpack their own brand of happiness.
Sleep, Connect, Explore:
With simplicity in every detail, OZO offers comprehensive amenities enabling guests to relax, connect and explore from the comfort of their own personalised space.
- Sleep: OZO prioritises restful nights with comfy beds, supportive pillows, and blackout curtains.
- Connect: Social spaces like EAT, THIRST, SPLASH, and CHILL foster connection, while seamless in-room sockets keep guests plugged in.
- Explore: Bicycle and scooter rentals empower guests to be active whilst delving deeper into their chosen destination.
Celebrating the Re-Launch with Local Collaborations:
To celebrate the re-launch, OZO champions local talent through a number of exciting collaborations:
- Stylish Staff Uniforms: OZO is redefining hotel attire with new uniforms designed in collaboration with the prestigious Thai fashion label, Greyhound. These unisex uniforms, debuting at the Thailand properties, break away from traditional norms, emphasising inclusivity and diversity across gender, age, and body shape. This innovative approach underscores ONYX’s commitment to modernity and distinction in the hospitality industry.
- Sweet Treats with Local Flair: OZO Hotels X Guss Damn Good: OZO has partnered with Guss Damn Good, a popular local ice-cream brand, to create two unique flavours exclusively available at OZO hotels in Thailand and select Guss Damn Good outlets in Bangkok. There will be seven ice-cream flavours available for sale at OZO properties, including the two bespoke OZO flavours: Good Vibes (Salted Watermelon Sorbet) and Cheat Day (Banoffee Crunch).
Yuthachai Charanachitta, CEO of ONYX Hospitality Group, elaborates:
“As tourism recovers locally and internationally post-COVID, it’s an opportune time to reintroduce the OZO brand. Our aim is to reignite the essence of OZO’s lifestyle branding, characterised by its inherent fun and vibrancy. We aspire to offer more than just accommodation; we want to create joyful and memorable experiences. OZO is like a lively playground, ready to embrace and conquer every exciting challenge our guests bring.
The designs of our OZO resorts blend simplicity with dynamic liveliness, embodying our core concepts: Sleep, Connect, Explore. Whether it’s enjoying the comfort of our beds, staying digitally connected, or embarking on adventures, OZO promises a memorable and refreshing experience. We invite guests across Thailand and Malaysia to ‘Unpack. Good. Vibes.’ and immerse themselves in our revitalised offerings.
As part of this endeavour, fostering partnerships with local businesses holds personal significance for me. It’s a reflection of ONYX’s unwavering commitment to sustainable tourism. By championing local talent and suppliers, we not only enrich our offerings but also contribute to the economic and cultural vibrancy of our destinations.”
