Lyad Rasbey, Vice President of Destination Tourism Development at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), shed light on the Emirate’s remarkable tourism recovery journey. During the COVID-19 pandemic, RAKTDA took bold initiatives, providing financial support to hotels and securing over 5,000 jobs. This strategic pivot, coupled with being the first city certified as safe by both WTDC and BU Veritas, propelled Ras Al Khaimah to surpass 2019 numbers in 2022.
