Luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises has appointed Steve Odell to the position of Chief Sales Officer. This follows the recent announcement of Paul Beale's promotion to VP, Sales UK. Odell will be responsible for maximising opportunities across all booking distribution channels and strengthening travel partner relationships. Odell will report directly to Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Odell re-joins Regent and brings a wealth of luxury travel experience. He was Regent’s SVP and Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region for seven years. "Steve will be supported by an already strong team of sales leaders as we aim to empower and invest in our valued travel partners," said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "I couldn't be happier to be returning to Regent at such an exciting time for the brand having just launched the sixth ship," Odell said. Odell is a cruise industry veteran with over 35 years of experience. He joined Regent in October 2015 to spearhead the launch of the Company's Asia Pacific business across all three Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' brands. Paul Beale was recently appointed as VP, Sales UK, having joined the luxury line in March 2012. In his most recent role as Senior Director Sales UK, he played a pivotal role in Regent strengthening travel trade relationships.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has taken delivery of its sixth ship - Seven Seas Grandeur. The luxury cruise ship was constructed by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy and designed by Studio DADO. It has a gross tonnage of 55,500 and crew of 548 for 746 guests. RSSC says the luxury cruise ship will have some of the highest space and staff to guest ratios in the industry. "We would like to thank Studio DADO and Fincantieri for their outstanding collaboration in realizing this incredible new vessel," said Harry Sommer, CEO of parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. "Seven Seas Grandeur's inaugural season is all but sold out, which is testament to the burgeoning popularity of the unrivalled Regent experience." Seven Seas Grandeur's maiden voyage from Venice (Trieste) to Barcelona begins on November 18, 2023. The ship then crosses the Atlantic to Miami. On December 10, Godmother Sarah Fabergé will perform christening duties. The inaugural season includes Caribbean cruises, two transits of the Panama Canal and U.S. Eastern Seaboard sailings. The ship returns to Barcelona in March for summer 2024 season of Mediterranean cruises. Seven Seas Grandeur offers 15 cabin categories, eight dining venues and a 1,600-piece art collection. This includes the first Fabergé Egg to permanently reside at sea. In addition, the ship will debut Regent's very first digital art tour - Art Experience. The ship's Serene Spa & Wellness experience will debut new and exclusive spa treatments.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has successfully installed new Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi on luxury ship Seven Seas Mariner.^. It provides guests with high-speed, complimentary Wi-Fi. In time for the cruise line's 2024 World Cruise, which departs in January, guests will be able to surf, stream and share at sea like never before. Connectivity for guests and crew will be added to Regent's newest ship Seven Seas Grandeur prior to its launch in November. "Unlimited Wi-Fi is part of the truly all-inclusive Regent experience and we want to ensure our guests are receiving the best of the best with innovative technology," said Andrea DeMarco, President. "The increased bandwidth will also improve onboard services and operational needs for our guests, as well as our crew." Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi uses advanced low Earth orbit satellites which will improve the capacity, speed, and reliability of internet service. All six ships are expected to be equipped with Starlink by the end of 2024.
