A first at United
By launching united.com/cruises, United became the only major airlines to offer its frequent fliers the chance to earn and redeem miles for cruises, the company says.
“Since we became the first airline to launch our own cruise program, we have made the process of booking a cruise as seamless as possible for our customers,” said Scott Garner, managing director – Travel Products, United.
More than 20 different cruise lines, representing nearly all North American cruises, are affiliated with United Cruises, according to Mr Garner.
Mileage Plus members can redeem miles for a cruise or use a combination of cash and a minimum of 10,000 miles to purchase cruises.
