If all these values appeal to you read on… Based in New Zealand’s largest hotel in CBD Auckland, our client is seeking a strong and accomplished Financial Controller that is both responsible for all the financial matters of the hotel, as well as naturally being a 2IC to the GM. Among your responsibilities you will be called upon to critically assist and direct the hotel operations relating to finance and budget in each department, as well as mentor divisional managers to ensure they exceed their goals. Your focus will be on revenue management and cost analysis of the overall business. In addition you will have a management approach that inspires your team to deliver and succeed, together with a strategic and financial mindset that is pragmatic and focused. Key responsibilities are: ** Manage, train and develop your finance teams. ** Preparation of daily, monthly, & yearly statistical reports. ** Oversee reconciliation of daily transactions from revenue centres ** Oversee database management. ** Provide direction and advice to GM’s from reviews of hotel’s cash flow statements. ** Create, analyse and review monthly and annual hotel budget plans. ** Project manage, allocate and approve on capital expenditures Key Requirements: ** A degree in Finance and /or accounting or its equivalent. ** Strong understanding and experience in commercial negotiation. ** Exceptional reporting and analytical skills. ** Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements. ** Min four years experience as Chief Accountant/Assistant Director of Finance in hotels. You will need to work closely with many teams and be results orientated with a true ability to resolve any situation creatively.
