A4A appoints new VP of security
Industry trade group Airlines for America has named federal security specialist Lauren Beyer as vice president, security and facilitation.
Beyer will lead A4A’s collaborative approach working on behalf of member airlines to advance priorities on safe and secure air transportation.
She will oversee liason with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection and the TSA.
Beyer brings 11 years of federal experience working with at The DHS and the TSA and was most recently the director for aviation and surface transportation security at the National Security Council.
She reports directly to A4A’s SVP of legislative and regulatory policy, Sharon Pinkerton.
"Lauren brings a wide array of experience to A4A that will allow her to continue and expand collaboration with the airlines, industry and agency officials. I look forward to Lauren joining our team in this new capacity," said A4A president and CEO Nicholas E. Calio.
Beyer says she is looking forward to working on ‘critical aviation security and facilitation issues’ on behalf of the nation’s airlines.
