AA buys Driveline Europe
AA Travel Limited has commpleted the acquisition of Driveline Europe Limited.
Driveline Europe, which provides European self-drive holidays by ferry and eurotunnel and short breaks by Eurostar, is based in Shefford, Bedfordshire, and has 25 staff.
Nicole Murray, one of the existing founders of the company, is continuing as sales and marketing director.
Co-founder Dean Brazier is pursuing his business interests overseas.
AA chairman and chief executive Andrew Goodsell said: “We saw Driveline Europe as a good fit with the AA and a great base from which to build a holiday company focussed on the needs of AA members.”
Ian Coghlan, chief executive of AA Travel Services, added: “An increasing number of people are travelling on self drive European short breaks, AA members will now have the confidence to buy European self-drive holidays from the AA – a brand they trust.
“We will develop new holidays and exclusive deals for AA members.”
