Accor opens Cambridge budget hotel
AccorHotels has officially opened its new ibis Cambridge hotel, directly opposite the city’s train station.
It will be the chain’s first property in Cambridge and the largest hotel in the city and surrounding areas.
The hotel has 231 rooms, all in the new concept ‘Sweet Room by ibis’.
It will have meeting rooms and a caf-©/bar.
Thomas Dubaere, managing director for AccorHotels UK & Ireland, said: "We have ambitious expansion plans in the UK and growth in the regions outside of London is a key part of this.
"Cambridge is a hugely popular destination for both leisure and business travellers and our new hotel will help to cater for both. We are very pleased to be investing in the Cambridge economy and look forward to making a positive impact in the area for our guests, partners and the local community."
