Accor says plenty of rooms in Perth hotels
Accor says that recent media reports flooding Perth’s media and airwaves stating there is a shortage of hotel rooms in Perth and calling for private homes to be offered for visitors are incorrect.
Accor’s four CBD hotels – Mercure Hotel, Novotel Perth Langley, Ibis Perth and All Seasons Perth – all have rooms available, at rates that are friendly for both domestic or international visitors.
“Winter is traditionally a soft period for Perth, but with the influx of guests attending the Australian Tourism Exchange 14-20th June, some hotels are carrying high occupancies during that period. Midweek can be fairly busy with corporate bookings, but weekends in the city offer great rates and packages,” explains Llewellyn Wyeth, Regional Manager for Accor in Western Australia.
“However a visit to our website www.accorhotels.com.au will reveal many rooms available with rates from $155 per night including breakfast at Mercure Perth, $160 including breakfast at Novotel Perth Langley, $139 per night with free brekfast at Ibis Perth and $124 including breakfast at All Seasons Perth, and they can also be booked via our Central Reservation Service by calling 1300 65 65 65,” he adds.
“Reports have been flooding the media lately, and are correct, about the difficulty in finding staff for hospitality in Western Australia, due to the exodus to the mining sector, but the latest reports of rooms being unavailable are false, and damaging to the tourism industry as a whole. The flow-on to tourism operators, airlines and local industry could be catastrophic if people stop trying to book a visit to Perth based on this false information,” Mr Llewellyn concluded.
