Active Hotels cements relationships with regional French tourist offices
Active Hotels, one of Europe’s leading on-line hotel reservations providers (and part of priceline.com) has recently completed a number of successful collaborations with individual tourist offices across France. To date, the tourist offices of Rouen in Normandy and the tourist board of Anjou (CDT) amongst others have benefited from a full technological integration to use Active Hotels’ extensive stock of regional properties. With other key regions in the process of being finalised, Active Hotels is well-placed to accommodate each individual tourist office’s needs by providing free technology enabling an on-line hotel reservation service, as well as solid business rapports with local hoteliers. Valérie Kugler, Marketing Manager at the Anjou Tourist Board said: “We are constantly looking for new and effective ways to promote our region to ensure travellers are fully catered for when planning their trip. Active Hotels provides the CDT of Anjou with a value-added service for our online visitors by offering them the opportunity to check room availability and make instant hotel bookings on our website www.anjou-tourisme.com.” Active Hotels has a strong presence in France with over 2,300 partner hotels, thus representing the second largest market for the company after the UK. The company’s French operations are continuing to experience massive growth hence plans to open a French office in Paris later this year, complementing the UK-based dedicated French Customer Services, Sales and Distribution teams. Sandrine Aymard, Partner Account Manager for France said: “We are delighted by the positive responses we have had from tourist offices across France. Active Hotels is renowned for having a strong foothold in the French market and our quantity and variety of properties in provincial areas, combined with free technology and online support make an appealing package.” With a rapidly increasing growth in the number of people using the internet to make travel arrangements, these new partnerships will improve the whole visitor experience, bringing it in line with the expectations of today’s modern traveller looking for immediately accessible, real-time on-line booking services. -End- About Active Hotels: Active Hotels (a Priceline company), is one of Europe’s leading online reservation providers to the hotel industry.
