Additional speaker for airport security debate
Andrew Solum, a director of Travel Industry Associates, an outsourced-travel and event management company, is joining TravelMole’s Travel Industry Question Time panel to debate the impact of heightened airport security.
He established the company in 1998, following five years as a dedicated travel manager in the City.
TIA’s current client base includes companies from Asia to Europe, the US to Africa, and it ensures frequent travel for all employees, acting as travel manager for a wide variety of companies.
The impact of heightened UK airport security on the travel industry is the subject of the debate on Thursday.
A panel of senior industry speakers will discuss the issues arising from the increased security measures following last month’s alleged terrorist alert.
Other panellists include Federation of Tour Operators director general Andy Cooper, ABTA head of corporate affairs Keith Betton and WA Shearings sales and marketing director Karen Gee and a representaive from BMI.
Moderator for the event, being run in association with Dubai, is expert travel journalist and TravelMole contributor Jeremy Skidmore.
Unlike other industry seminars, TITQ does not involve lengthy presentations and is specifically organised to encourage audience participation.
The event takes place from 17.00 on September 21 at the London School of Economics in London’s Aldwych (Room D302, Clement House).
Online registration is open now at www.travelmole.com and it will also be possible to register on the day.
