Aer Lingus announces Seattle service
Aer Lingus has announced a direct flight from Dublin to Seattle, starting next year.
A four times weekly service will begin on May 18, with connections from 12 UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Since joining IAG in 2015, Aer Lingus has launched six new direct transatlantic services.
Flights give UK travellers the bonus of pre-clearing US Customs and Immigration at Dublin Airport.
Aer Lingus already offer connections to New York JFK, Hartford, Newark, Boston, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami and Toronto.
A four times a week service from Dublin to Philadelphia starts in March 2018.
The airline’s fleet and employment will expand significantly over the next five years with the acquisition of Airbus A321Neo long-range (LR) aircraft from 2019.
"This aircraft type will open up new markets, expand our network and enable a new growth phase for Aer Lingus," said the airline.
Fares to Seattle start from £259 each-way including taxes and charges, when booked as a return trip.
