Aer Lingus to expand transatlantic services
Aer Lingus will launch new flights from Dublin to Miami next September.
It will also increase its Los Angeles flight to a daily service for summer 2017, its Dublin to Orlando flight will increase to four times a week, and its Chicago service will also be increased to double daily.
Aer Lingus has connections to its transatlantic flights from 18 UK airports and the airline also gives passengers the option to pre-clear US Customs and Immigration.
The airline said its growth underpins its successful strategy of expanding its Dublin base into a major European transatlantic gateway.
It said the airport had risen from 11th position in 2010 to fifth in the league table of European transatlantic airports.
