Agents’ cash flow worries eased by Pegasus
Hotel chains have begun processing commission payments on a weekly basis in a move designed to help agents’ cash flow.
Hilton, Marriott, Jurys Doyle, Fairmont and Kempinski are among the companies to have adopted the new system which has been developed by technology firm Pegasus.
Marriott said the move has helped strengthen relationships with agents.
“It not only improves the cash flow for agencies but enhances our relationship with our most important distributors,” said vice president of global sales Fred Miller.
Pegasus executive vice president and chief operating officer Bob Boles added: “We are pleased with the launch of weekly processing. Our customers see the benefit of improving their relationship with the travel agent community.”
