AHLA names new CEO
The American Hotel & Lodging Association has named William ‘Chip’ Rogers as the organization’s next president and CEO.
He succeeds Katherine Lugar in the new year.
Rogers is a hospitality association veteran and served as the president and CEO of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, the country’s largest hotel owner’s association, leading a team of 30 with an annual budget of $15 million.
He is also a board member of the United States Travel Association and the California Hotel & Lodging Association.
In his role as head of AAHOA, Rogers has worked closely with ALHA on the two associations’ joint annual advocacy days over the past few years.
He was unanimously selected for the role by an AHLA search advisory group, which was made up of executives from the association’s member brands, owners, and management companies.
